Calculation Methodology & Accuracy
This tool calculates top dividend stocks yields using the following approach:
- TTM Yield: Sum of dividends paid in the last 365 days divided by current stock price
- Quarterly Yield: Sum of dividends paid in the last ~92 days divided by current stock price
- Special Dividend Detection: Payments > 2.5× median of last 8 payments are flagged as special dividends
